High noon

12"x16" Oil on linen panel
Sold

It was a bright hot day when I painted this scene.  I was with my slow to set up friend, and by the time I actually started painting it was probably around 11 am.  As most are, this farm is old, but unlike many, the structures are well maintained and ideal for plein air, with many potential  viewpoints and subjects.  The caretakers, who live in the house on the right, are very pleasant and accomodating, and always offer cool drinks, orange slices, etc.  Writing this,as usual, I think how lucky I am to be an artist.     Mike
