Gravel pit

A gravel pit work area seemed a totally different theme than my usually ideallic landscape subjects.  I had fun painting it and someone liked it enough to buy it, but I think that kind of thing is really more suited to modernists, than plein air artists.  At least, this plein air artist.  I guess at heart, I'm a romantic.   Mike

    Mike-

    I found your blog over on DPW (I am a member also) and I have been following for a couple of months. I live in No. CA and so am drawn to your CA work but like the others as well. This one in particular interests me. All of those lines and you did it plein air! Wow:)
