24"x30" Oil on linen
Sold
This painting is a little larger than I usually paint. Normally I stop at about 16"x20"; smaller works just seem to interest me more. My galleries are not always happy with that sentiment, and I understand. I guess there is more money in the big ones---if you sell them. Anyway, as the title indicates, this is one of my favorite subjects. If you go back through this blog you will find another painting of it. I am doing a few boats at the present time, and will show them soon, if they look OK. Mike

Baywood
Sold
This is another Ca. painting, done a short distance from Morro Bay, the setting for most of my harbor scenes. The water you see in the work is a tidal basin, and when the tide is out it's just marsh. In the background is Morro Rock, around 800 ft, high, as I remember, (but don't bet on my memory!) standing alone in the real harbor, a couple of miles away.

Tug at Morro Bay
9"x12" Oil on Linen Panel Sold
This is a small painting of a scene in Morro Bay, Ca. painted on a Wednesday outing with the Irregulars. A typical beautiful day. Art, who was the lodestone of the group when we first started, owns the piece. Below is a photo of Art as he typically looks on an outing. Isn't this the way an artist should look? Mike
